Albury Wodonga Ground Mount Solar

A local farmer in the Albury Wodonga area approached us to install solar on his farm. It seemed like a straight forward solar project. However, this was a challenge as his home was surrounded by trees and installing the system on him house wasn’t a viable option.

The beauty about installing solar on a farm is there is no shortage of land available to install a solar ground mount system. In this case we we’re very luck as his main switchboard was in the paddock very close to the ideal location for the solar ground mount system so it made the ground mount option extremely attractive.

Watters Electrical managed the civil works, supplied all the hardware and labour and completed this install within the week. As you can see by the photos the installation in very neat and tidy and the customers can expect amazing solar generation as the system faces true north.

Complete Installation of 10.4kW Ground Mount Solar System

• 2 x Fronius Primo 5kW Inverters
• 32 x 325-Watt Jinko Solar Panels

1. Disconnection/re-connection of existing supplies at Main Switchboard, these works to be coordinated with Supply Authority.
2. Co-ordination and completion of paperwork required by electrical retailer.
3. Trenching from main switchboard to ground mount solar site.
4. All new underground HD PVC conduit installations and all cabling to serve the proposed system.
5. Boring of holes for the ground mount legs / steel poles.
6. Supply and installation of all approved footings and installation of the ground mount new (fixed) steel poles.
7. Upgrade of existing Main Switchboard.
8. Supply and installation of approved solar panels and inverters
9. Supply and installation of approved pole mounted power boxes.
10. Commissioning of the complete works.
